Mitsubishi VP15TF is a highly versatile, general-purpose PVD-coated carbide grade renowned for its exceptional balance between wear resistance and fracture toughness. It is considered one of Mitsubishi Materials' most successful and widely used "problem solver" grades across turning, milling, and solid/indexable drilling operations.

• ISO P (P15–P35): Carbon steels, alloy steels, and pre-hardened die steels.
• ISO M (M15–M35): Austenitic, ferritic, and martensitic stainless steels. It excels at preventing the "gummy" sticking common to stainless machining.
• ISO K (K15–K35): Gray and nodular cast iron.
• ISO S: Titanium alloys and high-temperature nickel-based superalloys (at lower surface speeds).
