Iscar IC328 is a legacy, ultra-tough PVD-coated carbide grade engineered specifically for heavy-duty applications under highly unstable, interrupted, or unfavorable machining conditions. It is notoriously resilient and acts as a "problem solver" when newer, harder grades chip or fracture prematurely. 

• ISO P (P25–P50): Carbon steels, low-alloy steels, and cast steels experiencing heavy shock or scale.
• ISO M (M30–M40): Difficult-to-machine austenitic stainless steels (like 300 series) where thermal cracking is common.
• ISO S (S25–S30): Heat-resistant titanium and nickel-based superalloys (such as Inconel) at slow surface speeds
